Excellent Chinese Actress: Pan Hong 中国杰出女演员潘虹 ~ Chinese Movies&TV

Pan Hong (潘虹 Pān Hóng, born in November 4, 1954) is a mainland Chinese film actress. When she was 10 years old, her father killed himself during the Cultural Revolution(文革 wéngé).

After Pan graduated from Shanghai Drama Academy, she performed several supporting roles in films. In 1982, as a leading actor, she shot-fame for At the Middle Age. She awarded a Hundred Flowers Award(百花奖 bǎihuā jiǎng), Changchun Film Festival Golden Deer, Shanghai Film Critics Award. As the Golden Rooster Award for Best Actress three times winner, Pan received a Golden Rooster Award for Special Award in 1994. Chinese critics named her “The last noble in the Chinese film industry”. She is the vice-chairman of the China Film Association and China Film Performance Academic Society.

Today, Pan still takes an active part in Chinese film industry.
